Running time: 100 mins
Our Freedom: Then and Now, part of a new UK-wide creative programme led by Future Arts Centres. The initiative brings together 60 arts centres and libraries across the country to produce original works exploring what “freedom” means today, reflecting diverse voices and experiences from communities nationwide. As part of this programme, Rural Arts has worked closely with military families in North Yorkshire, bringing together participants from different generations for a series of craftivism workshops. Led by commissioned artist Adrian Riley, these sessions have explored personal and collective interpretations of freedom, inspired by themes in Simon Armitage’s poem Freedom Road.
