"Mary Popp-cans" Screening Free Tickets For Food Donations
31 May 2025
The magic of Mary Poppins returns to the big screen on Sunday June 8th at 17:00 with a heartwarming twist. The Station Cinema is proud to host the latest food bank charity screening — Mary Popp-cans - where guests can exchange four canned food items for a cinema ticket.
All donations will go directly to the Richmond Storehouse Foodbank, helping to support local families in need. Held twice a year, this much-loved event brings the community together to enjoy a classic film while making a real difference. Past screenings have provided hundreds of meals & items for those facing need and we hope this year’s event will be the most impactful yet.
“We are always amazed by the generosity of the Richmondshire community and beyond” said General Manager Dan Westgarth. “It’s a fantastic way to enjoy a heartwarming Disney classic whilst celebrating the kindness of the community & a way to bring people together for a good cause.”
Whether you're a fan of the iconic nanny or simply want to give back, this is a perfect opportunity to enjoy a film and support a great cause. The Station Cinema box office is open from 11 am daily and food donations can be exchanged directly at the box office in exchange for your tickets.
The event has been made possible thanks to the generous support of leading industry partner, Admit One & local businesses, The Wensleydale Heifer, and Shaefer PR.
